Igitur non dormiamus sicut ceteri.

“We have had no good comic operas of late…

…because the real world has been more comic than any possible opera.”  I think Chesterton’s fine word’s apply to modern madness more than ever before.  Namely thinking of Carl’s post at InsightScoop that has some “revealing” issues to discuss.  Frankly, any sentence like the following in almost unbelievable:

A GROUP of glamour lesbians who believe the world was created by an alien civilisation 25,000 years ago have criticised the Catholic Church for being out of touch.

Raelian, the same folks who claimed to have cloned a human being, are at it again with their antics of opposing the Pope’s visit to Sydney this summer.  It’s odd enough to even have a group like the Raelians, but for them to ask the same respect for their leader as the government gives to a major political and religious figure is laughable beyond belief.  Chesterton, once more, proves himself a prophet of the 21st century!  Why would we need any comic plays when we have news material like this?

HT to Carl E. Olson for know where to find such fun.
